Hearing Aids – Day 5

19 August 2014
This morning for the first time I inserted each unit individually in the off position while listening to the radio.
I switched on the right unit first and I heard the sound of the broadcaster’s voice with the new hissy overtone; while at the same time my unaided left ear could hear the familiar smooth reception.
I drove on the M11/N11 from Wicklow to Blackrock. The weather was dry but what I heard was like driving through a hail storm with each ear hearing alternate squalls. This is no exaggeration.
